It's been a busy few months for the Club. We have been successful in sending a Tauranga Boys'College student to Outward Bound - a life changing experience for him.
We have welcomed a student from Kasaoka (our sister club in Japan) to New Zealand and he is attending Tauranga Boys' College for 3 weeks. In September we will send a Tauranga Boys' Student to Kasaoka.
In the next few months club members will be taking part in a couple of planting days in the Kopurerua Valley as part of the 4-way Tauranga Rotary Club Centennial Project - K Valley. Our second planting will be a public planting as part of our "Footprints for the Future" project. We will get information about this out to soon.
Personally for me I am in the process of organising our Annual CANVAS Careers Expo for college students -6th & 7th August at Mercury Baypark. We will have a session on Thursday 6th 4.00pm - 8.00pm so parents can come along and explore options for students but also look at options for a change of career or to retrain for yourself.
If you are looking to meet up with like minded people and do good in your community then come along and join ROTARY.
