Hi, Our next project is happening this weekend. If you are keen to make a difference in your own back yard come along and you can also find our about what Rotary clubs in Tauranga - this could be an opportunity for you to find a like minded project to get involved with.
Help plant 5000 native trees and shrubs in the biggest urban wetland reserve in Aotearoa.
In collaboration with: Tauranga City Council, Kopurererua Valley Rotary Centennial Trust.
Event details: Limited parking at site, some close by. Wear sturdy boots preferably gumboots, bring spade & water bottle. Toilet & BBQ Food available
Rotary Clubs: Tauranga, Tauranga Te Papa, Tauranga Sunrise, Otumoetai & Waikato/BoP Rotaract
· When: 9.30, Sunday 20th September
· Where: lower end of Marshall Ave, Greerton (parking available).
· How: bring spades, gloves, drinking water, boots and hi-viz if you have any. (Holes already dug)
Soak up the tranquility of the valley, meet like-minded passionate citizens and get a sense of the history, ecology and recreational possibilities of this jewel of Tauranga
City. Bring your families. There'll be a sausage-sizzle to thank you for your hard work.

Rotary Clubs Tauranga and Otumoetai are very excited to have Heather Verry, CEO of Diabetes NZ as our speaker at a fundraiser dinner on Wednesday 18 September 2024, from 6pm at Hotel Armitage, 9 Willow St, Tauranga. $40 per person plus drinks + cash for a raffle. Profits from this event will be donated to NZ Diabetics.
