Rotary Clubs Tauranga and Otumoetai are very excited to have Heather Verry, CEO of Diabetes NZ as our speaker at a fundraiser dinner on Wednesday 18 September 2024, from 6pm at Hotel Armitage, 9 Willow St, Tauranga. $40 per person plus drinks + cash for a raffle. Profits from this event will be donated to NZ Diabetics.

Support of this school project, to have a bike track for students and members of the community to learn riding skills safely is complete and open for riding. 

What a great weekend we had, from Friday1 March to Sunday 3 March with around 3000 people coming to spend time looking for hidden treasurers. Thousands of books, and many jigsaws, magazines, records, DVD's and art all found new homes. Thank you to everyone who generously donated these items and gave so generously. One of Rotary's area's of focus is improving the environment. Our annual book sale is supporting this focus with so many of these items being purchased or recycled, so thank you.

- Our 40+ volunteers, club members and other Rotary clubs who all worked tirelessly for the six weeks leading up to and during this event.
- The businesses opting to support us as drop off points for donations or provided support in other ways.

Sunday 10 September, four local Rotary Clubs and several employees from Tauranga City Council gathered together in Marshall Rd to plant 2000 shrubs and trees in K (Kopurererua) Valley. This was accomplished in about an hour with than 45+ volunteers planting. Rotary Tauranga members also cooked a BBQ for after work was done. A very big thank you to all that assisted.
