Another Successful Book Sale

What a great weekend we had, from Friday1 March to Sunday 3 March with around 3000 people coming to spend time looking for hidden treasurers. Thousands of books, and many jigsaws, magazines, records, DVD's and art all found new homes. Thank you to everyone who generously donated these items and gave so generously. One of Rotary's area's of focus is improving the environment. Our annual book sale is supporting this focus with so many of these items being purchased or recycled, so thank you.

A huge shout out to

Our 40+ volunteers, club members and other Rotary clubs who all worked tirelessly for the six weeks leading up to and during this event.
The businesses opting to support us as drop off points for donations or provided support in other ways.

2024 Rotary Tauranga Book Sale

K Valley shrub planting

Sunday 10 September, four local Rotary Clubs and several employees from Tauranga City Council gathered together in Marshall Rd to plant 2000 shrubs and trees in K (Kopurererua) Valley. This was accomplished in about an hour with than 45+ volunteers planting. Rotary Tauranga members also cooked a BBQ for after work was done. A very big thank you to all that assisted.

Riding for the Disabled Horse Shed Build

Rotary members build a horse shelter shed at the Riding for the Disabled Welcome Bay site over three weekends.

Greerton Village School Dictionary Presentation

On the 11th May 2023 President Sue, Phillip Wilson, Ross Prestidge and Robyn Hanna presented Usborne
Dictionaries to year 4 students at Greerton Village School.

We were met with a classroom full of excited children and made aware of the Usborne Dictionaries in the classroom.

This is not the first year we have given these dictionaries to this school, so great to hear the children tell us that they have the same dictionaries in their classroom and are well used.

Not just books re-purposed

Another successful book sale finished for 2023. But that is not the end of it. Once we finished on Sunday, a number of groups came in on Monday to sort through remaining books to use in book sales as far away as Auckland. Plus ... curtains and heaters ..

Friday 3rd March, 12pm - 6.30pm

Saturday 4th March, 9am - 4:30pm
