Changeover for Tauranga Rotary was 28 June when club members dressed in black n white, ranging from look-a-like prison garb to bow tie and dress jacket.
Current President Mike Savage began the evening with introductions of our invited guests.  Great food and fellowship was enjoyed by all while Paul and Janne provided entertainment. Many caught up with members and guests they may not have seen for a while, others using the time to introduce themselves to those not met before.

During the festivities Mike and his team chose to award four very deserving club members Paul Harris Fellow pins for their service to the club and community – Ann Pritchard, coordinator of the club’s annual book sale, Sue Boyne, coordinator of the annual career expo, this year called ‘Canvas Careers Showcase’, David Garland, organiser of an international grant towards Ophthalmology equipment for Marine Reach, and Richard Speed for his commitment to the club.

Mike officially handed over the presidential metal ware to Sheena, so ends Mike’s year and Sheena’s begins.  The new Rotary International theme for 2017-18, ‘Making a Difference’ was displayed and directors for this coming year introduced to members and guests.  So begins another new year of service to our community.
