Many days of work and we are ready for another Tauranga Rotary Annual Book Sale!
Our dates changed this year to 8th - 10 March 2019 and began about 3.30pm with a long line of eager buyers waiting in the pouring rain for the doors to open.
A great beginning and new this year, live entertainment and reading to young ones.
During the following two days the many books and other donated items were taken home to new homes by very happy bargain hunters.
A number of panel heaters were collected on behalf of Tauranga Hospital.
We wish to thank a great number of our community who assist us in our book sale, we think of as one of the biggest recycling events in Tauranga.
- Every year we are blown away by the generosity of our community, their zealous support of our book sale, donating books, CD's, DVD's, magazines, jigsaws, games, sheet music, records and then coming to buy again and again, a very big thank you to everyone
- Seeka and their staff for again generously giving Rotary Tauranga the use of their cool store in Harvard Way for the six to eight weeks needed to collect and sort all of these donated goods. Their staff give us an enormous amount of help moving and storing
- The various outlets we collect from
- The many volunteers and club members who arrive each day, year on year, without whom we could not get through the large amount of work to be ready on the day or during this event
Our 32nd book sale has finished for another year and now we look forward to donating the monies raised back into our community, both local and further afield. On behalf of our collection outlets, donations have already been made to a number of clubs and organisations.
