Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at Gate Pa School, 900 Cameron Rd, Tauranga from 11.00 am on each of these days during school terms. Time is about an hour each day to oversee students working in their school garden or kitchen.  Students are currently years 9 and 10.  They spend one term swapping between their garden and kitchen, learning to grow, look after and then cook product from this garden.  Rotary volunteers assist on these days, overseeing and helping students in either their garden or kitchen.  Closed in shoes required, suggest  bringing your own gardening gloves, raincoat/ jacket.  On wet days the gardeners are in a classroom, help is still appreciated. Have time, love cooking or gardening and want to help, please contact Rosemary Allen 07 542 0573

Many days of work and we are ready for another Tauranga Rotary Annual Book Sale!

Our dates changed this year to 8th - 10 March 2019 and began about 3.30pm with a long line of eager buyers waiting in the pouring rain for the doors to open.

A great beginning and new this year, live entertainment and reading to young ones.

During the following two days the many books and other donated items were taken home to new homes by very happy bargain hunters.

A number of panel heaters were collected on behalf of Tauranga Hospital.

We wish to thank a great number of our community who assist us in our book sale, we think of as one of the biggest recycling events in Tauranga.

Tauranga Rotary recently (September) assisted with a project in conjunction with Rotary Australia World Community Service (RAWCS), and members of the Rotary Club of Nunawading, Melbourne. This involved dismantling a redundant Heart Catheterisation Laboratory at Tauranga Hospital, and packaging it up to be sent to Lautoka Hospital in Fiji.
