Tauranga Rotary recently (September) assisted with a project in conjunction with Rotary Australia World Community Service (RAWCS), and members of the Rotary Club of Nunawading, Melbourne. This involved dismantling a redundant Heart Catheterisation Laboratory at Tauranga Hospital, and packaging it up to be sent to Lautoka Hospital in Fiji.

Welcome to Tauranga Rotary!
A friendly group of Rotarians, who have the opportunity to meet each Wednesday evening to enjoy each other’s company over a meal before dealing with the Rotary Business of ‘making a difference’. Our attendance requirements are flexible as we appreciate how busy people’s lives are. We also like to have fun, and arrange regular social activities and get togethers.
We are a progressive club, committed to being useful and relevant in our ever-changing world actively supporting Rotary’s International Projects as well as those closer to home.
On offer are a number of programmes for youth as well as supporting a number of different local causes and projects within our community. Our members are encouraged to become engaged in areas where their passion will ‘make a difference’, and are always valued for the contribution they make.

After a request from local Principal, Richard Inder, Tauranga Rotary became involved in the “Bikes for Schools” campaign at Gate Pa Primary School.
Canvas Careers Showcase (for many years known as Rotary Career Expo) was on at the ASB Arena in Tauranga 11 and 12 August 2017 giving secondary students an opportunity to gather information and talk about their future learning.
Changeover for Tauranga Rotary was 28 June when club members dressed in black n white, ranging from look-a-like prison garb to bow tie and dress jacket.
